This stand-alone building had good proportions for our client’s needs but suffered from a low ceiling just over 8 ft. high. To mitigate that construction problem in the reception area we exposed the structural trusses and had them cleaned up and painted. In the patient treatment areas we utilized very high-end ambient lighting fixtures that appear to be a continuous skylight with film images of clouds and overhanging trees that that align with one another. Another interesting feature was the patient’s ceramic hand molds that created a rich decorative pattern on the hallway side of the treatment rooms.
