The primary design challenge of this interesting but awkwardly shaped space was how to create an attractive transitional connection between reception and the clinical area where the space narrows. Two construction/interior design devices were used to overcome this handicap. One was to bow the office wall out in the center and use a strong and textured paint color for the wall. The second was to line the other side of the hall with a much needed floor to ceiling storage cabinet with a brightly painted decorative cut-out at its center. Another feature is the circular Bay area with decorative pendant light fixtures pin wheeling out from the center and bordered by the sterilization pass-thru cabinet and a semi-private operatory.
